Hi to Kamaji Campers from Years Gone By...
...to those of you who may be a bit older than
camper age but who would, if you could, take the better part of
a summer - to return to the Northwoods of Minnesota, to the shores
of Big Wolf Lake 'neath the tall, tall red pines to a place called
Kamaji!
|
For many of you, Kamaji is but a memory
of childhood days spent in a magical place...a wondrous place...a
place where you began to take those first steps towards adulthood...a
place where you gained self-confidence and independence...a
place where how you behaved toward others was far more important
than what you wore or where you came from...a place that had
a role in shaping the person you are today...a place where
you formed friendships that have surpassed the test of time
and distance.
|
 |
It is to this place - Kamaji - and to those special
camp friendships - and to you - that we dedicate this page. A page
where you can keep up with the Kamaji of today - and tomorrow...a
page that will take you back to that special place of your childhood
days...a page that will evoke memories tucked in the recesses of
your mind...a page where you can re-connect with friends out-of-touch
but never forgotten...a page to share a part of you...
...and should you find yourself dreaming of returning
to Kamaji, please know that you are always welcome - for gooey rolls
on Sunday morning, for a raucous round of Tribe Songs, for Council
Fire...to reflect, to remember, to smell the pines or hear the call
of the loon...or for simply no reason what-so-ever.
We look forward to hearing from you soon - either
here on our Alum Bulletin Board...or through an e-mail message...or
in person at Kamaji.
Campingly
yours,
Alum
