Summer stock at its finest — Camp Kamaji-finest!!  For those New York stage and Hollywood wanna-be’s, Kamaji provides the backdrop for both talented and yet-to-be-tapped budding actresses.  Whether working on acting skills, improvisational techniques, dance and chorus line routines, Kamaji’s drama program allows campers the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and into the spotlight.

Every summer Kamaji produces two musicals;  “Alice in Wonderland”, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, “High School Musical”,  “Grease”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Annie”, “West Side Story”, “Bye Bye Birdie, “Bugsy Malone Jr.”, “Schoolhouse Rock” are but a few of Kamaji’s most recent productions.  Additionally there are two variety show performances each season.

Opening night jitters are not what our drama program wants for its campers; instead, our theater program is a venue by which campers can explore their acting potential and, more importantly, gain the self-confidence to appear live before an audience of cheering and admiring camper fans.

And for those Kamaji campers who prefer to work ‘behind the scenes” music, choreography, costuming, make-up and set design instruction are offered.
