Geocaching

Be forewarned!! Kamaji’s geocaching activity is the only high-tech concession we make at camp.  A widely popular outdoor game of treasure hunting, Kamaji’s geocachers seek out hidden treasures using a map, a compass and a GPS (global positioning system) which lead them through the woods of camp in search of a cache.  Once found, a cache provides the campers with a wide variety of treasures.  For Kamaji’s campers, the biggest reward of geocaching is the thrill of the search and the discovery of a place in camp where they have never been.

P.S.  Kamaji’s geocaching program is a modern day version of a century old orienteering game/race.  Only requirement to join in on a Kamaji geocache is a sense of fun and adventure!
